SOUND SCENE INSTALLATIONS

A water cooler chat bot to help you engage in idle office gossip even if another human isn’t present; a tarot deck made of 72 cassette tapes each with its own message; a chilling game of chance made of real-life stories of near-death experiences; and a take on the Voyager probe where we imagine what probes alien civilizations would send into space.

These audiovisual installations were made for the annual DC Listening Lounge Sound Scene events, hosted at locations like The Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and The Goethe-Institut.
A robotic water cooler, lit up with green light.
A carnival-style fortune teller booth.
Six red cassette tapes, arranged in a circle.
A statue of a golden space probe with prongs jutting out of it with toy cats on the end of each prong
